Samsung is expected to jump on the Android Go bandwagon, and the first smartphone made by the South Korean company that will try to further popularize Google’s light OS is the Galaxy J2 Core. It’s not the first time we’re reporting about the phone, but now we have more official information on the Galaxy J2 Core, so if you’re anxious to know what Samsung has in store for us, here is a quick rundown of what the phone is supposed to offer. We already know the Galaxy J2 Core will be equipped with a quad-core Exynos 7570 processor and 1GB RAM, but now we’ve learned that it will also feature dual-SIM support. As a matter fact, Samsung Galaxy J2 Core offers hybrid dual-SIM support, which means one of the slots can be used to expand internal storage. A micro-USB port is included as well, which isn’t surprising considering that we’re talking about a budget-friendly smartphone. Although it’s an Android Go smartphone, some of the pictures included in the manual show Samsung apps are pre-installed on the Galaxy J2 Core, such as Galaxy Apps and Smart Switch. It remains to be seen when exactly Samsung will introduce its first Android Go smartphone and how much it will cost, but we won’t be surprised to see this one showcased at IFA 2018 later this month.
