A new group of unlikely heroes emerge to save the world of Exandria on Prime Video on 19 November.
This summer we finally got our first look at The Mighty Nein, an animated series that’s been in production for a couple of years by Prime Video, and comes from the same artists who gave us The Legend of Vox Machina. The Mighty Nein follows a group of seven (so not nine?) misfit and deeply emotionally charged individuals who, through the vagaries of fate, become a group of adventurers and, eventually, the last hope to save the world of Exandria.
The Mighty Nein is the name of the second Dungeons & Dragons campaign played by Critical Role, although its members already explained a few days ago that the animated series would have a different narrative with respect to the game table streams, and also that it would be bigger and more ambitious than The Legend of Vox Machina. Looking at the trailer below, we can only agree. What do you think?

The great franchise returns to its turn-based strategy roots in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
Many of you may not have been born, but on October 9th 30 years ago, PC gaming was changed forever. Or, at least, a series of turn-based fantasy titles was born that quickly rose above the rest. It was Heroes of Might and Magic, and now Ubisoft, which controls the IP, is about to release a new instalment in the series, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, which has its eye precisely on those early instalments of the series that even today still offer compelling gameplay that other franchises have been unable to replicate.
Last night, Ubisoft held a special streamed event looking back at the history of the HoMM franchise, and also announced the release of the Olden Era demo. It was a bittersweet announcement, as it also noted the delay of the Early Access release until early 2026.
In the Heroes of Might &a Magic: Olden Era demo we will be able to try out four of the five playable factions presented so far (the last one was the Schism), but luckily in the three game modes that will be available at launch. You can access the Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era demo from Ubisoft Connect and Steam. And to bring the nostalgia back in style, the classic instalments of Heroes of Might & Magic II and Heroes of Might & Magic III, both in Gold and Complete versions respectively, have arrived on Game Pass on PC and are available at all current subscription levels.

Valentin Vacherot jumped from World No. 204 to 94 defeating Holger Rune in quarter-finals.
Valentin Vacherot overcame a 6-2 loss in the first set against World No. 11 Holger Rune and bounced back in the other two sets to reach Shanghai Masters semi-finals an extending a dream run that will see sky rocket from World No. 204 to World No. 92.
The 26-year-old Monégasque player (cousin to Arthur Rinderknech and half-brother of retired player Benjamin Balleret, now his coach) became a pro player relatively late, not debuting in a Masrers 1000 until 2023 and in a Grand Slam until 2024, when he reached a then best rank of 92. With no senior titles under his name, this will be his first ever semi-final. at a Masters 1,000, no less.
Vacherot, who became the first qualifier to reach semi-finals at the Chinese Masters 1,000, nearly didn’t enter the competition, travelling to Shanghai without knowing he would make the qualifying cutoff list: « I didn’t come as a qualifier, I came as an alternate. I wasn’t even sure I was going to play qualifying. This is just unbelievable. The last win meant already so much to me. This one means even more », said Vacherot, who tried not to look at the rankings for the whole tournament, after the disappointment of getting 30 points behind of making into the top 100 last year.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic defeated Zizou Bergs in straight sets and will face Vacherot on Saturday for the semi-final.

Early morning attacks hit residential buildings and energy sites, leaving parts of the capital in darkness.
We just got the news that a large-scale Russian assault hit Kyiv early Friday, sparking fires in apartment buildings and damaging critical energy infrastructure. Explosions echoed across the city as drones and missiles struck residential areas, forcing emergency crews to battle flames through the night. Power and water disruptions were reported on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, while several regions remained without electricity. In Zaporizhzhia, a similar barrage caused casualties and heavy damage to homes. Meanwhile, local authorities urged calm as repair teams worked to restore essential services amid growing concerns over renewed pressure on Ukraine’s energy grid ahead of winter.
