МВС поступово встановлює прикордонних штурмовиків, які допомогли Міхеїлові Саакашвілі перетнути український кордон. Правоохоронці вже встановили особи шістьох імовірних організаторів порушення правопорядку та 32 активних учасників. Поки затримано п’ять осіб. Серед затриманих після подій на пункті пропуску « Шегині », що на українсько-польському кордоні, – колишній співробітник органів внутрішніх справ Олександр Бурцев. Член колегії МВС Антон Геращенко оприлюднив відео, на якому видно, як Бурцев штовхає прикордонників.
Видання « Обозреватель » з посиланням на свої джерела пише, що Бурцев народився в 1978 році в селі Стужень Курської області, за національністю – росіянин.
Службу в органах внутрішніх справ розпочав у 2003 році на посаді дільничного інспектора міліції. Після подій на Майдані став старшим оперуповноваженим сектору карного розшуку Дебальцевського міського відділення ГУ МВС України в Донецькій області.
Пізніше став командиром взводу №1 батальйону патрульної служби міліції особливого призначення « Шахтарськ » ГУ МВС України в Дніпропетровській області. Деякий час мешкав в Івано-Франківську, де працював інспектором кадрового забезпечення групи кадрового забезпечення батальйону патрульної служби міліції особливого призначення « Івано-Франківськ », командиром взводу №1 роти №2 батальйону патрульної служби міліції особливого призначення « Івано-Франківськ ».
Далі він знову повернувся на Донеччину, де був начальником штабу батальйону патрульної служби міліції особливого призначення « Артемівськ » ГУ МВС України в Донецькій області; заступником командира оперативної роти №3 батальйону міліції громадської безпеки особливого призначення ГУМВС України в Донецькій області, заступником колишнього командира « Беркута » – взводу батальйону поліції спеціального призначення Головного управління Національної поліції України в Донецькій області. Був звільнений з посади 7 вересня 2016 року.
Екс-заступник генерального прокурора України Давид Сакварелідзе, соратник Саакашвілі, каже, що Бурцева затримували 15 представників МВС.
Заводив Михайла в Україну
Затримано й представника « Руху нових сил » Андрія Котиченка, якого Сакварелідзе назвав тим, хто « безпосередньо заводив Михайла в Україну ».
Геращенко також розмістив відеозапис за участю Котиченка.
Котиченко також є активним учасником черкаського Автомайдану.
Правоохоронці затримали й іншого члена партії Степана Гойсана з Івано-Франківська. Він протягом 1999-2011 років проживав і навчався в США, після повернення почав займатися підприємницькою діяльністю в галузі туризму в Карпатах, є керівником готельного комплексу.
Серед затриманих також Василь Білак та Ярослав Сайкевич, останній, ймовірно, ужгородський журналіст.
Спікер МВС Артем Шевченко на брифінгу не назвав прізвища затриманих, але, підтвердив, що їх п’ятеро.
« Всі вони затримані саме тому, що, за попередніми даними слідства, підтвердженими на численних відео, вони чинили фізичне насильство щодо військовослужбовців Держприкордонслужби, але це не означає, що всі 4 статті ККУ їм інкримінуються, все в залежності від доказів, які будуть знайдені щодо конкретної особи: у когось одна стаття, у кого 2, у кого 3 », – сказав він журналістам.
Крім того, в неділю біля Саакашвілі помітили колишнього мера міста Сміла Черкаської області Олексія Цибка. ЗМІ писали, що він нібито став членом « Партії ветеранів Росії ». На сторінці в Facebook Цибко підтвердив, що був на кордоні, та заявив, що захищав « закон і законність ». Крім того, він натякнув, що подасть до суду щодо одного з видань « позов про спростування інформації в частині пособництва Росії ».

Apple set to unveil 10th anniversary iPhone, new Watch and TV in new campus – Silicon Valley

Amid global interest, Apple is expected to unveil a 10th anniversary iPhone, a new Watch and TV in its newly constructed Steve Jobs Theater.
CUPERTINO — More than 1,000 people packed the Steve Jobs Theater Tuesday for the iPhone product launch, the most anticipated of its kind in several years.
Media and tech luminaries from Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Laurene Powell Jobs and Pixar CEO John Lasseter filed into the newly constructed theater, which sits just outside the “spaceship” campus. The annual event, which takes place in September, will kick off at 10 a.m.
The event is expected to be jam-packed with Apple’s newest products, with its 10th anniversary iPhone as the crown jewel. The new iPhone has gone through a reported overhaul in design and is crammed with new features, including high-resolution and energy-efficient OLED glass display, wireless charging, and 3D facial recognition, among others.
The new features are expected to push the new iPhone’s price point above $1000, and recent concerns over whether the new iPhone will be ready for the holiday seasons have been increasing. Apple is also expected to release two upgraded models to the current iPhone 7 model.
Apple is also expected to unveil a new Watch and TV, the former with a LTE cellular connection and the latter with 4K and HDR resolution compatibility.
Steve Jobs Theater itself is of great interest to Apple enthusiasts. The auditorium, which received a permit to host the event just eleven days ago, is entirely underground. Attendees enter the theater from an above-ground lobby which has a steel disc held by 20-feet-tall glass panels.
The new products will be concealed behind a retractable wall, which will be unveiled after the presentation, according to reports.
Wall Street has been anticipating a big showing on Tuesday as Apple shares rose 1.8 percent to $161.50 on Monday. The figure just fell short of its all-time record price at $164.05 on September 1, a day after Apple sent its event invitations to journalists.
The event is closed to those without an exclusive invitation. The live-stream for the event can be watched via Safari on an Apple product, or on Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

Tuesday stocks: Irma in the rear-view mirror, Apple on deck

After Monday’s post-Irma sigh of relief in bank and insurance stocks, Tuesday trading action fixates on incoming Apple product announcements.
WASHINGTON, September 12,2017 – We were so busy Monday fiddling with our portfolios in light of Wall Street’s impressive post-Irma rally that we didn’ t get a chance to post timely columns. We’ ll try to remedy that just a bit today with a pair of short articles that hopefully will bring you up to date.
Monday’s main event was a hugely surprising rally ignited by the stock sector collectively known as “The Financials, ” one of several industry-centric sectors maintained by S&P and used these days to create ETFs that track these indexes. The S&P Financials include bank stocks, insurance companies of all kinds and those Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) primarily focused on lending activities.*
The Financials had been badly battered last week in anticipation of the horrendous property damages and losses that the U. S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Florida Keys and the entire Florida peninsula itself were likely to sustain.
In the cold world of stock trading and investing, individual lives and careers matter much less than profit and loss. As a result, investors in Financials were horrified at the potential losses for banks owning mortgages on homes and commercial buildings as well as property-casualty insurers covering the same.
As what’s left of Irma completes its March Through Georgia today and heads for Tennessee and wherever, it’s clear it most certainly did leave a fair measure of catastrophic damage behind, particularly in the U. S. Virgin Islands, the badly-mauled Florida Keys, and in various locations all over the Florida Peninsula.
But Irma’s wind velocity quickly lost power, first over Cuba and then over the West Coast of Florida, and its rains, while substantial, were not nearly as disastrous as those recently swamping Houston, courtesy of Hurricane Harvey.
Thus, aside from serious, but less-serious-than-anticipated tidal surges, primarily in the Tampa Bay and Jacksonville areas, initial damage assessment, while serious, apparently aren’ t nearly as bad as banks, insurance companies and investors had been anticipating. Hence, Monday’s huge rally, ignited by that equally huge sigh of relief (and subsequent buying) in the Financials.
As we approach the noon hour today, all major averages are up modestly but not impressively in the typically weak “day after” follow-through action one expects after an impressive rally like the one we experienced Monday.
The Big News today hasn’ t happened yet, but markets are eagerly anticipating today’s edition of Apple’s (stock symbol: AAPL) annual September new-and-improved product announcements. All eyes and ears will be on the new iPhone edition (presumably called the iPhone 8) around which wild rumors have abounded for months. The new phone’s price tag is expected to set records, although early adopters will likely refuse to be deterred.
Another persistent rumor is that the new iPhones might be running “late” due to delays in the product pipeline, given new technologies allegedly involved. We shall see.
If we find sufficient time, we’ ll try to update our readers with details as they occur. Or, if you’ re a DIY kind of guy or gal (can we use those words?) , you can click this Apple link to watch the show in streaming video starting at 10 a.m. PACIFIC TIME (i.e., 1 p.m. ET) .

You have to love Apple’s consistency, ruthlessly favoring their own technologies over anyone else’s. Or did that idea originate at Microsoft?

МИД России выразил недовольство, что в законе об образовательной реформе, который приняла 5 сентября Верховная Рада Украины, русский язык не упоминается. Об этом сказано в заявлении Департамент информации и печати министерства иностранных дел России.
– Хотя в законе русский язык не упоминается, очевидно, что главной целью нынешних украинских законотворцев является максимальное ущемление интересов миллионов русскоязычных жителей Украины, насильственное установление в многонациональном государстве моноэтнического языкового режима, – заявили в России.
Россия стала пятой страной, которая высказалась об украинском законе об образовании.
Министр иностранных дел Венгрии Петер Сиярто заявил, что страна прекратит международную поддержку Украины из-за образовательной реформы.
Беспокойство выразило министерство иностранных дел Румынии, а в Польше заявили, что будут следить за применением положений закона.
Президент Молдовы Игорь Додон призвал « киевские власти пересмотреть новую политику в отношении этнокультурных меньшинств ».

‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ will bring back J. Abrams as director and co-writer

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams will return to the sci-fi saga to direct and co-write Star Wars: Episode IX.
It didn’ t take long for Disney and Lucasfilm to find a new director for Star Wars: Episode IX — and he’s a familiar face to fans of the franchise.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens director J. Abrams will direct and co-write Episode IX with Academy Award winner Chris Terrio (Argo, Justice League) . Abrams replaces former director Colin Trevorrow, who exited the project a week ago due to creative differences with the studio.
“With The Force Awakens, J. delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for, and I am so excited that he is coming back to close out this trilogy, ” said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy in a statement accompanying the announcement on StarWars.com.
Little is known about the plot of Episode IX at this early stage, as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi is scheduled to hit theaters December 15 and will set up the events of Episode IX. In the studio’s official statement regarding Abrams’ attachment as director, Episode IX was referred to as “the concluding chapter in the sequel trilogy.”
Given the success of Abrams’ franchise-relaunching sequel The Force Awakens, the decision to bring him back for Episode IX seems like a safe bet for the studio.
Released in 2015, The Force Awakens went on to break nearly every box-office record possible, earning $936.6 million in U. S. theaters and more than $2 billion worldwide. It’s currently the highest-grossing movie of all time domestically, and in third place on the all-time worldwide box-office charts (after Avatar and Titanic) . The film also received overwhelmingly positive reviews from professional critics and fans alike, and currently ranks third (after Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strike Back and the franchise-starting Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope) and among the best-reviewed films in the franchise on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
While it’s unknown which established Star Wars characters will appear in Episode IX, their stories will continue in this year’s The Last Jedi, which was written and directed by Brick and Looper filmmaker Rian Johnson. Confirmed to appear in that film are returning cast members Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, recently deceased actress Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Lupita Nyong’ o as Maz Kanata, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Domhnall Gleeson as Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma. Andy Serkis will also return to provide a performance-capture performance as Supreme Leader Snoke.
New cast members in The Last Jedi include Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran.
Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to premiere in theaters May 24,2019.

Сполучені Штати Америки і Велика Британія вважають, що окупанти в Криму незаконно засудили до восьми років позбавлення волі заступника голови Меджлісу кримських татар Ахтема Чийгоза. Про це йдеться в заяві на сайті уряду Великої Британії і на сторінці в соцмережі Twitter посольства США в Україні.
Так, американське посольство заявило, що безпідставне звинувачення Ахтема Чийгоза – ще один приклад постійних утисків, що мають місце в окупованому Росією Криму.

У той же час у прес-службі британського уряду процитували слова міністра у справах Європи Алана Дункана.
« Злочинний вердикт і засудження Ахтема Чийгоза до восьми років позбавлення волі за організацію масових заворушень у Криму демонструє масове переслідування кримських татар і українців, які виступають проти незаконної анексії Криму Росією », – заявив він.
Велика Британія закликає РФ негайно звільнити Чийгоза, а також інших кримчан, які російська влада затримала за протидію незаконній анексії.
Нагадаємо, « верховний суд » Криму засудив до восьми років ув’язнення в колонії заступника голови Меджлісу кримських татар Ахтема Чийгоза.
Європейський Союз уже закликав Росію звільнити Чийгоза .

After Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago in April, the president spoke very highly of his Chinese counterpart. “He is a good man. He is a very good man and I got to know him very well, ” Trump said later that month.
As the North Korea threat has grown more serious with the regime’s successful tests of an intercontinental ballistic missile and a staged thermonuclear device, Trump’s frustration with China has resurfaced. The Trump administration has increasingly targeted Chinese strategic interests, from the South China Sea to bilateral trade.
Trump, however, has continued to show his admiration for China’s president, stating in July that “he’s a very talented man. I think he’s a very good man. He loves China, I can tell you. He loves China. He wants to do what’s right for China.”
Bannon also spoke in positive terms about China during his speech, even going so far as to state that the Chinese “way of running their economic system is quite brilliant.”
The former White House official’s comments are surprising given the extremely hawkish rhetoric on China that he normally expresses.
“We’ re at economic war with China, ” he said in an August interview with The American Prospect. “One of us is going to be a hegemon in 25 or 30 years, and it’s gonna be them if we go down this path.”
“The economic war with China is everything, ” Bannon said. “And we have to be maniacally focused on that. If we continue to lose it, we’ re five years away, I think, ten years at the most, of hitting an inflection point from which we’ ll never be able to recover.”
Bannon was expected to deliver a speech that was noticeably anti-China. In an interview on the themes of the speech, Bannon made some characteristically-shocking statements.
“A hundred years from now, this is what they’ ll remember — what we did to confront China on its rise to world domination, ” he said, according to the New York Times. “China right now is Germany in 1930. It’s on the cusp. It could go one way or the other. The younger generation is so patriotic, almost nationalistic.”
He also criticized China’s economic model, arguing that “it is not sustainable.”
As Bannon has been a staunch critic of China, calling for more aggressive tactics to counter China’s rise, observers suspect that he was just trying to be polite in his Hong Kong speech.
