Fairphone is finally updating its handset, the Fairphone 2, 18 months after Google first released Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The update will bring marked improvements and arrive over-the-air.
The Fairphone 2 made its debut a little over a year ago with the promise of modular parts and a handset that would last. If you haven’t heard of Fairphone before, that’s okay, as the handset is only stocked in a small number of retailers, primarily in Europe. The firm has a goal of offering products that are ethically sourced and only utilizing labor taking place under fair and safe working conditions.
