Kushner, who joined the White House in January, had divested from the New Jersey project and Kushner Companies.
Kushner Companies says it will send a cease-and-desist letter in response to sales pitches using Jared Kushner’s name online to attract high-priced Chinese investments in exchange for U. S. visas and possible green cards, according to a report Thursday.
«Kushner Companies was not aware of these sites and has nothing to do with them. The company will be sending a cease and desist letter regarding the references to Jared Kushner, » a Kushner Companies spokesperson told CNN.
CNN said it contacted two companies, US Immigration Fund based in Jupiter, Fla., and Qiaowai, a Chinese immigration company, about using Kushner’s name. The former removed the post and blamed it on a third party immigration consultancy firm.
