It was a busy week in sports, with the Home Run Derby, MLB All-Star Game and Wimbledon all taking place.
While the sporting events were few this week, the action was plentiful.
The first half of the MLB season wound down this week and we were rewarded with the annual All-Star Break — which also includes the Home Run Derby. Both the Derby and All-Star Game were held in Miami, Florida, this year, with rookie Aaron Judge being crowned home run king and the American League topping their National League counterparts in the meeting of the star-studded rosters.
Across the pond, all eyes were tuned to tennis as Wimbledon action reached its peak. The upset of Andy Murray and the success of Venus Williams made headlines worldwide as the competition inched closer to its championship round.
Elsewhere in the world, track and field, soccer and rugby entertained fans from all walks of life.
