The concert, part of her El Dorado World Tour, has been rescheduled for Aug. 14, according to the Amway Center where she will perform.
The Colombian singer penned an apology letter to her fans that was posted to her social media accounts.
“Though I very much hoped my vocal cords would recover in time to pick the tour back up in January, and after exploring many options to that effect, I have accepted that this is an injury that simply needs more time and care to heal,” Shakira wrote.
“I feel for all of you who planned ahead to come to these shows and who have been so patient as I took the time needed to figure out the best course of action with my doctors.”
Shakira announced in November that her doctors determined she suffered a hemorrhage in her right vocal cord. The diagnosis — a “nightmare,” she called it — came as she was preparing the world tour.
