Lifetime plots movie about Prince Harry, Meghan
Meghan Markle, the actress, soon will have the tables turned as she becomes Meghan Markle, the Lifetime movie subject.
The cable network, known for its small-screen biopics, is planning a movie based on the history of the romance between Prince Harry and his bride-to-be, Suits star Markle.
News of Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story (working title) came as a very brief mention during Lifetime’s presentation Sunday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. As Liz Gateley, Lifetime’s head of programming, highlighted upcoming shows, she said, «And before the wedding of the year takes place between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Lifetime will debut a movie revealing how the stars aligned for this royal romance.»
Although no official premiere date has been announced, it sounds as if the hope is to have it ready before the couple’s wedding on May 19. Lifetime aired William & Kate: The Movie just days before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married on April 29,2011.
