The British born singer and husband Matt Robinson welcomed their first child, a boy, she announced Monday.
“Omg! Guess what just happened at the very end of this year! The happiest new Year ever!” The “Unwritten” crooner posted on Instagram, alongside a snap of Bedingfield, 36, holding a Starbucks cup from her hospital bed with “Mum” scribbled on the side.
Before giving birth, Bedingfield reflected on the past year, calling her pregnancy her “favorite memory” of 2017.
“And of course my favorite memory of this year is being blessed with the promise of a baby boy. I can’t wait to meet you very soon!” she wrote on social media.
Bedingfield announced in October she and Robinson were expecting, eight years after the couple tied the knot.
“Matt and I are thrilled to share with you all that we are bringing a new little life into the world!” Bedingfield revealed on Instagram. “We can’t wait to embark on this amazing journey together.”
