Apple has bought the subscription-based digital magazine service, Texture. Users of the app can pay a $9.99 monthly fee and gain unlimited access to many popular magazines such as Time and Forbes.
Apple has announced that it has acquired the subscription-based digital magazine service, Texture, which is produced by Next Issue Media LLC. Texture allows users to pay a monthly fee that grants unlimited access to more than 200 of the world’s best magazines. Apple said that the move shows that it is committed to quality journalism from reliable sources.

Texture is free to download in the App Store but a subscription of $9.99 per month is required after you’ve exceeded the 7-day free trial. Some popular magazines accessible from the service include Adweek, Forbes, Fortune, Inc., Macworld, National Geographic, PC Magazine, PCWorld, Popular Mechanics, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Time, Vanity Fair, Variety, Vogue, Wired, and many more.
