Another nor’easter is poised to hit the Northeast.
Less than a week after winter storm Riley brought heavy rains, strong winds and snow to the Northeast, there’s another March storm on the way, this time named Quinn.
Monday, winter storm Quinn, that started in the West, was over the Northern Plains and the Midwest with plenty of wind and snow. The storm was causing winter weather and blizzard warnings across a large part of the country where wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour and up to a foot of snow were expected, the National Weather Service warned.
The NWS also warned that the nor’easter would bring more of the conditions that the mid-Atlantic and Northeast saw last week from heavy snow and strong winds to extreme flooding in some places. The storm is expected to begin in the Northeast midweek, with the worst of it really hitting starting on Wednesday throughout the day, according to The Weather Channel’s forecast.
