The Nokia X6 launch coincides with the OnePlus 6 launch, which is also set for May 16 in London.
It’s confirmed. Nokia X6 is launching on May 16. The smartphone is launching in China, and as of now, there is no word on the India launch. However, we can expect HMD Global to bring the Nokia X6 in India in the next few months or so. As of now, HMD Global is sending out the media invite for the Nokia X6 launch event which is scheduled to take place in Beijing. The Nokia X6 China launch coincides with that of the OnePlus 6 launch, which is also set for May 16 in London.
Ahead of the May 16 launch, Nokia X6 has been subjected to several leaks and rumours which have already revealed some of the key specs that the phone may pack like — the iPhone X-like notch, 19:9 aspect ratio, and glass back on which will sit the dual camera set up.
Earlier rumours had revealed that HMD Global will launch the Nokia X6 on April 24. But that didn’t happen. Instead, HMD Global is hosting a 6-day long event to promote its entire new lineup of smartphones. In the last few weeks, we have come across several live images of the Nokia X6 leak online and revealing almost the complete design details of the phone.
The leaked live images show that the Nokia X6 will come with an iPhone X-like notch on the top of the display. However, as per the images, the notch on the Nokia X6 will be much smaller than that of the iPhone X and will most likely just house the front camera, earpiece and a sensor or two. Another highlight of the Nokia X6 will be the 19:9 aspect ratio screen. The Nokia X6 is seen with a thin chin on the bottom, which will include the Nokia branding on the centre.
The Nokia X6 is expected to have a glass back and will have a rear panel that’s pretty reminiscent to the Nokia 8 Sirocco. The smartphone will include a vertically aligned dual rear cameras set up, below which will be the fingerprint sensor. Both the camera and the fingerprint sensor will are seen surrounded by silver accents. The Nokia X6 will keep the 3.5mm headphone jack which will be seen on the top.

Full specs sheet of the Nokia X6 was also leaked last week. In terms of specifications, the Nokia X6 is expected to come with a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display and will be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or a MediaTek Helio P60 processor paired with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. On the other hand, an earlier report has revealed that the Nokia X6 may come with 4GB of RAM which will be powered by an Helio P60 chipset, while the top-end variant will be offered with 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 660 SoC.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the upcoming Nokia X6 will be a mid-range phone. The Nokia X6 with Helio P60 chipset is expected to be priced around CNY 1599 which roughly translates to Rs 16,800, while the Snapdragon 660 may be priced around CNY 1799, which is approx Rs 18,900.
