(Conservative Tribune) – The silence speaks volumes.
With plans for a summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un firming up, talk is actually spreading that the 45th president could be in the running for a Nobel Peace Prize like the one Barack Obama received in 2009.
The difference, of course, would be that Trump actually earned it. And to this day, even Obama supporters can’t quite say why he ever got one.
The conservative website Campus Reform took an opportunity to ask students at the University of California, Santa Cruz, about their opinions on Trump’s prospects for a nod from the committee in Oslo and why they think Obama deserved his own award.
Naturally, almost none thought a Republican warmonger like Trump should ever be awarded the coveted prize.
But it’s the second half of the video, where the same students are asked why Obama deserved his, that really tells the story.

At only three minutes long, the whole thing is worth watching, but the real kicker comes about the 1:20 mark, when Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips asks two students the key question about the Obama honor:
“What kind of diplomatic stuff comes to mind when you think of him winning the award?”
The silence that follows is only a few seconds, but it feels like forever before one student asks his buddy for help.
