While speaking at a Democratic rally in Sunrise, Florida, Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) retold a joke about the difference between a crisis and a catastrophe that involved President Donald Trump.
According to Hastings, the joke was told by Ari Silver, the son of former Florida state legislator and rabbi, Barry Silver, while in Palm Beach County.
“’Do you know the difference between a crisis and a catastrophe?’ and no held their hands so Ari answered for us,” Hastings recalled. “He says, ‘A crisis is if Donald Trump falls into the Potomac River and can’t swim,’ and he says, ‘A catastrophe is anybody who saves his a**.’”
The crowd then roared with laughter.
Hastings also took a jab at Trump’s state of mind during the rally:
“There is no question that something is tragically wrong with the president of the United States in his mind.»

The Sun-Sentinel reports Hastings further said if Robert Mueller’s special counsel won’t bring Trump down, then “Stormy Daniels will.”
Last week, the poster for Pearl Jam’s concert for Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) supporters showed a Washington, D. C. in flames with Trump’s corpse in the foreground being picked clean by an American bald eagle.
