«NCIS» and «Blue Bloods» star Jennifer Esposito has joined the cast of supernatural thriller «Mary» opposite Gary Oldman, TheWrap has learned
“NCIS” and “Blue Bloods” star Jennifer Esposito has joined the cast of supernatural thriller “Mary” opposite Gary Oldman and Emily Mortimer, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
Esposito will play the role of Lydia in the film.
Michael Goi (“American Horror Story”) is directing the feature from a screenplay by Anthony Jaswinski (“The Shallows”).

“Mary” centers on a struggling family that buys an old ship at auction with high hopes of starting a charter business, only to discover her horrifying secrets once in isolated open waters.
It is scheduled to open in theaters in 2019.
Last week, Esposito said on social media she experienced difficult encounters with casting directors, adding that in the past month she has lost five roles for not being “white enough.”
“Have a question for my actor friends,” she began in a Facebook post . “Ever get totally blocked by casting directors?”
In replies to comments, the Italian-American actress grumbled, “Not getting a job is one thing, but not even being allowed in a room to have an opportunity is another.”
Esposito, whose big break came in 1997 when she joined the cast of the Michael J. Fox sitcom “Spin City” for two seasons, added, “Isn’t it their job ito [sic] bring you in to at least give you a chance to read before someone says you’re not right!?. As you said especially people in the business for years and years.”
Esposito is repped by GSA Entertainment.
