President Donald Trump broke his silence on a new college-era sexual assault allegation facing Judge Brett Kavanaugh while entering the United Nations General Assembly meeting Monday morning.

Trump added, “There’s a chance that this could be of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything.”
“He’s a fine man, with an unblemished past and these are highly unsubstantiated statements from people represented by lawyers,” he said. “You should look into the lawyers doing the representation.”
The new allegation against Kavanaugh surfaced Sunday evening detailing an alleged account from Kavanaugh’s freshman year at Yale University. The accuser, Deborah Ramirez, surfaced in The New Yorker and alleges that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a drunken raucous party.
Ramirez’s account however has come under scrutiny with other news organizations saying they contacted dozens of her former associates in college to corroborate the allegation and were unable to do so. By Ramirez’s own account she noted that she had to assess her own memory for several days before she was sure she could accuse Kavanaugh credibly.
Ramirez is the second woman to surface with decades old sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward in the Washington Post alleging that Kavanaugh assaulted her while he was age 17 and she was age 15, though she does not remember many key details. The people Ford alleges were at the party with Kavanaugh when he allegedly sexually assaulted her have also not confirmed her account.
