On Monday, thousands of Palestinians attended the funeral of the seven victims, amid chants calling for launching retaliatory attacks on Israel.
Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist groups announced on Monday afternoon that they have begun retaliating to Sunday night’s incident in Khan Yunis by firing dozens of projectiles and mortars at Israeli communities adjacent to the border with the Gaza Strip. “The Zionist enemy bears full responsibility for this insidious aggression and its repercussions,” said a statement issued by the so-called Joint Command of the Palestinian Resistance Factions. “The resistance is capable of reining in the enemy and preserving the integrity of the martyrs and avenging their blood.”
