After more than three decades in the music industry, Janet Jackson will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

This morning, pop icon Janet Jackson confirmed some news her fans had been waiting for. After more than three decades in the music industry, Jackson will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This recognition is especially sweet after she was blacklisted from the entertainment industry in 2004 following an unfortunate incident during the XXXVIII Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Jackson is an industry veteran, originally exposed to show business by her famous siblings in Jackson 5 and later known as the younger sister of international pop star Michael Jackson. While forging an acting career on the hit television shows Good Times, Diff’rent Strokes and Fame, Jackson released her self-titled debut album with A&M records in 1982.
