In an interview about musicians who make music without the aid of drugs or alcohol, Vince Staples said he’s always been sober because there were always bigger things to worry about than drug.
Trying drugs and alcohol never occurred to Vince Staples.
“It’s not something that I honestly ever think about,” the “FUN!” rapper told GQ. “I just never wanted to. I’m not the kind of person that will do something that I don’t want to do.”
Staples, 25, has never hidden that he’s sober and talked to the magazine about it for a story on musicians who create without the aid of drugs or booze. “They don’t expect this from a young black musician my age from where I come from,” he said.
