Realme’s first entry-level smartphone, the Realme C1 proved to be a great success for the company, helping it increase its market share in the segment in India. While the new model is only an incremental upgrade compared to the Realme C1, there is no doubt that it is among the more impressive entry-level phones to have been released this year. In this article, we will pit the new Realme C2 against the popular Xiaomi Redmi 6A and Samsung Galaxy M10 to see if the new Realme phone is superior to its rivals.
The Realme C2 is available in two configurations in India. Priced at INR 5,999, the base variant comes equipped with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model is priced at INR 7,999. Xiaomi Redmi 6A is priced in India at INR 5,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant and INR 6,499 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. Samsung Galaxy M30 is significantly more expensive than the Realme C2 and Xiaomi Redmi 6A, starting at INR 7,990 for the 2GB RAM variant with 16GB storage. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of the phone costs INR 8,990.
The Realme C2 has a 6.1-inch Dewdrop IPS LCD display with 720 x 1560 pixels HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Realme claims the device has an 89.35% screen-to-body ratio, which is commendable in this price range. The phone runs on a 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor, paired with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage.
