Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace will chart the breakdown of relations behind palace walls in the months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie was born in May 2019.
TV Line quoted an official synopsis saying the focus would be «the couple’s controversial conscious uncoupling from the crown, after the birth of their son Archie.»
It read: «The movie details the struggles of the new parents and unique challenges of being part of the royal family, which ultimately led Harry and Meghan to give up their royal ties to forge a new life on their own terms.»
The decision will mean scriptwriters and the director will have to make difficult decisions about how to portray arguments between the royals if at all.
The history behind the couple’s decision to abandon their roles as senior royals is rooted in things said within the family before their wedding, according to family friends.
