A body was found at the Southern California lake where «Glee» actress Naya Rivera disappeared Wednesday from a boat, authorities confirmed.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department tweeted Monday afternoon that they found a body on Lake Piru that morning and were in the process of recovery.
The body was not identified, and a news conference is scheduled for later Monday afternoon. The sheriff’s office said the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and responding. USA TODAY has reached out to Rivera’s publicist, ex-husband Ryan Dorsey’s manager and the sheriff’s department for more information.
Rivera,33, is presumed to have drowned after she disappeared from a rented boat at the lake last Wednesday afternoon, where she had rented the boat with her 4-year-old son.
