First look at Shadow Warrior 3 shows off Lo Wang’s new skills, with first gameplay coming at Devolver Direct on Saturday, July 11.
The first teaser trailer for Shadow Warrior 3 is built on a pretty good gag: The game’s protagonist, Lo Wang, is contractually obligated to film said teaser for developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital, but seems genuinely enthusiastic to show off the sequel’s new stuff, like a grappling hook, and kill things.
Thankfully, there are no tired, ripped-from-1997 “Who wants some Wang?” attempts at humor here. It appears that veteran anime voice actor Jason Liebrecht will return to voice Lo Wang.
For the follow-up to 2016’s Shadow Warrior 2, Polish studio Flying Wild Hog is aiming for “a completely fresh experience.
