The U.S. government is further tightening its restrictions on Huawei that will prevent the company or any of its entities from getting their hands on chips or any technology made by a U.S. firm.
The U. S. government has announced that it will be further tightening its restrictions on Huawei. The Chinese company already has various trade restrictions placed on it and the U. S. government will be expanding on it to prevent Huawei from getting chips without a special license. The restriction will also include chips that are made by non-U. S. firms but which rely on technology or machinery sourced from the country. The U. S. government had amended its export rules in May this year to prevent Huawei from fabricating its chips in TSMC’s foundries.
