WhatsApp Payments has been publicly rolled out in India and you will be able to send money from inside the WhatsApp app using UPI. It is similar to any other UPI payments app in India backed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). To send money on WhatsApp in India, you need to have a bank account and debit card in India.
