Two people and two dogs died Tuesday morning in a Durham house fire.
Durham, N.C. — Two men and two dogs died Tuesday morning in a Durham house fire caused by a space heater. Firefighters said a total of five people were in the home. Aside from the two men who died, two other people were seriously injured, and one person managed to escape unharmed. One of the seriously injured occupants was a woman, who was pulled out by firefighters and resuscitated. She is now at Duke Hospital. The other was a man who managed to escape, but was injured and taken to the UNC Burn Center. The home is likely a total loss, according to fire officials.
