About 10 years ago, Samsung launched its first Galaxy Note a smartphone that created a category of its own and held the baton for big-screen devices for almost a decade. It was a revolutionary smartphone for the time. As Samsung is mulling to discontinue the Note series, another by the same name has risen and how! Xiaomi’s Note line-up, almost 10 times more affordable that what Samsung offers, can define the ‘value smartphones’ in the coming decade. Xiaomi has sold millions of units of the Redmi Note series ever since it arrived in India and the Redmi Note 10 line-up is likely to continue that. The most affordable in the series, Redmi Note 10 has the potential to shake up the budget segment. We have spent a couple of days with the Redmi Note 10 and here is our first impression of the same. The greatest trick Xiaomi has pulled with the Redmi Note 10 is to give it a pricey look and feel. It surely doesn’t feel like a Rs 12,000 smartphone. The plastic rear panel is surrounded by a metal grill which reminds you of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, almost four times more expensive than the Redmi Note 10.
