Wilson formed the upbeat group with his two brothers more than 50 years ago
His sound was outstanding. The Gap Band co-founder Ronnie Wilson was “called home” Tuesday, according to his wife Linda Boulware-Wilson. The 73-year-old multi-instrumentalist formed the funky R&B act with his brothers Charlie and Robert in the late 1960s. They were responsible for such hits as “Outstanding,” “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” and “Party Train.
