Bruce MacVittie, a theater, film and television actor, has died. He was 65. MacVittie, who was known for his roles in The Sopranos, the Law & Order franchise and more, died in a hospital, his wife told The New York Times, although she did not share his cause of death. MacVittie began acting professionally in 1980 when he appeared in the Edward Allan Baker play “What’s So Beautiful About a Sunset Over Prairie Avenue?” after graduating from Boston University and moving to New York City.
