All of the upcoming movies and Disney+ shows that Marvel Studios has announced, from She-Hulk to Blade to Deadpool 3.
Marvel studios have been releasing sizzling hot content and fast for over a decade now. Since 2008, the studio has seen a release of 23 feature films on its Infinity saga, skyrocketing its fanbase with captivating storylines.
Delving into Phase four of the Multiverse saga has further explained the comics and has been pretty exciting for Marvel fans. But the Marvel cinematic universe is not done yet.
After a few successful TV shows, including the likes of WandaVision and Loki, Disney+ TV shows have become a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But with the movies still anchoring the Marvel universe, it can be a little confusing to keep up with everything when it comes to Marvel movies.
For the uninitiated, Marvel content rolls out in phases — and we’re currently in the middle of Phase 4. It’s currently unclear exactly when Phase 4 will end, and Phase 5 will begin. So, we won’t be paying too much attention to the technicalities between the phases in this guide.
With so much content rolling out, it can be hard to keep up. Here’s every announced Marvel movie and TV show that’s set to come out in the future.
There are a few things to note about what we’re including in this guide. For starters, we’re including the mainline live-action MCU movies and Disney+ TV shows. We’re also including MCU animated TV shows, like What If…?. And we’re including Sony-produced Marvel content.
That’s because the lines have blurred in recent years between Marvel and Sony MCU content. With the multiverse in full swing, anything Marvel could be part of the MCU. So what are we not including?
Without further ado, here are all the upcoming movies and shows in the MCU.
Not only are we getting another Thor in the Marvel universe, but we’re getting another Hulk too. Tatiana Maslany plays She-Hulk, AKA Jennifer Walters, who ends up with her cousin, Bruce Banner’s, radiated blood. Banner’s blood transforms her into the She-Hulk, and her superhero lifestyle sets in.
In this Marvel film, we expect to see Mark Ruffalo in the Bruce Banner and Professor Banner form, training and helping his lawyer cousin embrace her She-Hulk persona. This show is a courtroom show, and MCU boss Kevin Feige has teased that other characters from the MCU could show up in court. Matt Murdock, anyone?
Marvel hasn’t confirmed much about its Halloween special, but there are some things that we do know about it. For example, we know that it’s being directed by Michael Giacchino and focuses on Werewolf By Night, which Gael García Bernal will play. Laura Donnelly would most likely be starring in this Marvel series.
Further, this Marvel Studios special would be solely based on the Marvel comics and would be the first television special in the Marvel Cinematic universe. Although unsure, our sources say that this superhero fiction is scheduled for release in October 2022. The rest, however, has yet to be determined, so maybe sit back and expect more.
The Guardians are getting a holiday special of their own. Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is being written and directed by Guardians mastermind James Gunn and filmed alongside the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
This upcoming television special will be based on the Marvel comics Guardians of the galaxy. It will also be the second TV special in the MCU movies produced by Marvel Studios. Further, the special will reprise stars from its Marvel film series like Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and the almost-silent Vin Diesel, who plays the tree humanoid- Groot.
The special is scheduled for release in December 2022.
You haven’t forgotten about Nick Fury, have you? Fury may not have shown up much in recent Marvel content, but he’s set to get a TV series of his own in the form of the upcoming Secret Invasion TV show.
If Secret Invasion follows the story of the comics, it could impact the MCU as Endgame did as much. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury in this series, and Ben Mendelsohn will play the shape-shifting Skrull Talos. The movie borders around a group of Shapeshifting aliens known as “The Skrulls,” infiltrating life on Earth.
Starting with six episodes, the Marvel Studios series is scheduled to premiere on Disney + in 2023.
Echo is a spin-off from Hawkeye and is an upcoming series based on the Marvel comics “Echo.”
It sets off on a ruthless Maya Lopez (in Hawkeye), whose past deeds catch up with her and forces her to struggle with reconnecting with her Native American roots. She must embrace her family and community if she hopes to move past her struggles. Echo has been scheduled to premiere on Disney+ mid-2023.
The first season of What If… premiered on August 11, 2021, and intrigued Marvel fans with just nine episodes. This is the first Animated series and also the fourth TV series in the MCU produced by Marvel Studios. The series seeks to explore the devastating changes that would occur in alternate timelines of the multiverse if major changes in the MCU films happened differently.
Jeff Wright, who stars as “The Watcher,” narrates the storyline in this enthralling Marvel TV series, while other actors in the previous films of the MCU reprises their role. The upcoming season sets off on the formation of the Guardians of the Multiverse, with The Watcher meeting new heroes and exploring new worlds to protect the multiverse.
We expect another nine episodes from the Animated series to premiere in early 2023. Since What If…was hastily accepted, a Marvel Zombies series based on the animation is in the works.
This is yet another amazing Marvel Television series that has stolen the hearts of Marvel fans since the first season aired. Marvel Studios had Loki premiere on the 9th of June, 2021, with only six jaw-dropping episodes.
The Marvel Television series that had Tom Hiddleston reprise his role as Loki received many positive reviews. No doubt, the upcoming second season, which is scheduled to premiere in mid-2023, should be nothing short of amazing as well.
