Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was kicked off of a plane in Miami Sunday morning, the Miami-Dade Police Department said.
According to a police statement to NFL Network, the flight crew was worried about Beckham because “as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness,” and officers were sent to respond to a “medical emergency” on the American Airlines flight bound for Los Angeles.
Police were called because the crew was concerned Beckham “was seriously ill” and that his condition might worsen during the flight, according to the statement. Beckham “refused” to get off the plane when asked by the flight crew, and all passengers were forced to deplane.
