It seems like just yesterday when Apple unveiled their recent line-up of products and with the start of the new year, the tech giant promises more exciting upgrades to come starting with their latest next generation of MacBook Pro and Mac mini built with their all-new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
Aimed at taking the breakthrough power-efficient performance of Apple silicon to new heights, the M2 Pro and M2 Max SoCs (systems on a chip) promise to bring you pro performance and game-changing capabilities in the Mac mini, 14-inch, and 16-inch MacBook Pro respectively.
The M2 Pro chip scales up the architecture of its predecessor (the M2 chip) to deliver an up to 12-core CPU and up to 19-core GPU together with up to 32GB of fast unified memory, while the M2 Max chip builds on the capabilities of M2 Pro with an up to 38-core GPU, double the unified memory bandwidth and up to 96GB of unified memory. Both chips also feature enhanced custom technologies that include a faster 16-core Neural Engine and Apple’s powerful media engine.
