Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi took the wraps off its much-anticipated Redmi Note 12 series globally in India. The 12 series includes Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+. Both Pro models share identical specifications except for the primary-rear camera and fast charging speeds. However, Xiaomi has disappointed us by providing MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. The common feature includes an IP53 rating, an IR blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The smartphones feature a 6.67 inches OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, a peak brightness of 900 nits, Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Underneath, both Redmi Note 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ sports a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC that pairs with 6/8/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.
