A24’s first musical ‘Dicks: The Musical,’ directed by ‘Borat’ director Larry Charles stars Bowen Yang, Megan Mullally, Megan Thee Stallion, Nathan Lane, Aaron Jackson, and Josh Sharp.
A24 just shared a first look at its first-ever musical, and it’s as ridiculous as you would expect it to be.
From the director of Borat comes Dicks: The Musical, a NSFW comedy featuring colorful lyrics like, “Life’s a fucking handjob.”
In this distant retelling of The Parent Trap, comedians Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson play two businessmen who overcome their rivalry when they realize they’re actually long-lost “fucking identical twins,” despite the fact that they look nothing alike. They then attempt to switch places and trick their parents into meeting again in hopes of reuniting their eclectic family.
Their parents are played by the delightful duo of Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally, who deliver hilarious lines like, “Should we drown them in the tub in the old fashioned way?” and,”I’m gay… queer as a $3 bill and just as thin.”
The trailer showcases the film’s absurd musical numbers, complete with back-up dancers and a surprising amount of showmanship from Sharp and Jackson, who proudly sing lyrics like, “My c––k is fucking massive, it always leaves the ladies sore!”
“There’s never been a man like me, and I’ll always be on top,” the self-absorbed businessmen sing right before meeting their female boss, played by none other than Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who previously showed off her acting chops in Starz’ P-Valley.
