Mark Margolis, who portrayed Hector «Tio» Salamanca in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has died.
Mark Margolis, who portrayed Hector “Tio” Salamanca in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, died Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City following a short illness. Margolis was 83.
«He was one of a kind. We won’t see his likes again,» said Robert Kolker, the actor’s manager, in a statement. «He was a treasured client and a lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him.»
Born in Philadelphia on November 26, 1939, Mark Margolis honed his acting skills as a student under Stella Adler at the Actors Studio.
In a career spanning decades, Margolis appeared in over 60 films including Scarface, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
