The Anyone But You costars found themselves in what could have been a tricky situation in early 2023 when the internet became convinced they were having an affair on the set of their romcom. But instead of shutting down the rumors, Sweeney and Powell can now freely admit they stoked the fires even more in order to drum up interest in their movie. And sure enough, it worked.
The actors came clean in an April 23 New York Times interview, the day Anyone But You dropped on Netflix.
