Angie Harmon is suing the former Instacart shopper who allegedly shot and killed her dog while making a delivery at her North Carolina home in March, as well as Instacart itself. She alleges negligence, trespassing, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy in her lawsuit filed Friday in Mecklenburg County. NBC News reports Harmon alleges Christopher Anthoney Reid used an Instacart profile depicting him as an older woman named «Merle,» while he was in fact a «tall and intimidating younger man.» Reid said he shot the dog in self-defense, though Harmon maintains he showed no signs of having been attacked; no criminal charges were filed.
