In newly-surfaced surveillance footage obtained by CNN, the music mogul — who has had a cascade of sexual assault allegations levied against him in recent months — can be seen grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking his then-girlfriend in a hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.
The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, matches an alleged incident of physical assault that Cassie described in the lawsuit she brought against the rapper in November 2023.
Two days after the attack, the former couple attended the premiere of Ventura’s movie, A Perfect Match,» where they were photographed holding hands and smiling for the cameras.
Photos from the evening also show that the «Me & U» singer may have had several faint bruises visible on her body.
For the red carpet, Ventura wore a gold and black full-length dress that exposed her back and arms.
