Google is rolling out its AI Powered Overviews in Search replacing completely the traditional Search and making it the default experience.
Google made a major announcement today at the I/O event 2024, stating that its Search Generative Experience (SGE) labs feature would be rolled out to users in the US within this week. The roll-out for other countries would be coming soon as well. After being tested and tweaked in the Labs for nearly a year, AI Overviews in Search are finally here and changing how the web works. The initial announcement of the Search Generative Experience was at the I/O event last year. The AI-paired new experience aims to provide answers to users’ queries based on the live data from Search.
