For years, I’ve been a fan of Samsung’s The Frame TV, except for one thing — the price. So when Hisense announced its rival, the CanvasTV last year, I was excited to test it out. My conclusion was that Hisense delivers the same great family room TV as the Samsung model, and the only thing it’s missing is the premium OneConnect box. However, Hisense delivers a much better software interface with Google TV.
Naturally, the biggest advantage of the Hisense CanvasTV is that it costs about two-thirds the price of Samsung’s The Frame.
