The White House celebrated the independent journalist’s arrest with a post on X, according the Mediaite.
The official White House account posted a photo of Lemon reporting on Minnesota anti-ICE protesters as they stormed a church service in St. Paul.
The post included a caption — “When life gives you lemons…” as well as a silver chain emoji.
“DON LEMON ARRESTED FOR INVOLVEMENT IN THE ST. PAUL CHURCH RIOTS” was over a photo of Lemon.
Lemon, formerly of CNN, has state he was not a protester, but a journalist covering the protests in Minneapolis.
