Russland: Putin kandidiert für vierte Amtszeit

0

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Miramar desert map revealed

The new desert map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been teased for months, and now the developer has finally revealed its full details.

The new desert map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been teased for months, and now the developer has finally revealed its full details along with new screenshots (via Steam Community).
The map, called Miramar, was created to give players an experience different from the current map of Erangel. Instead of lush fields and forests, players will now be thrown into a harsh and unforgiving desert, complete with several key landmarks and urban areas. The descriptions of each can be read below.
Los Leones
El Pozo
Monte Nuevo
Valle del Mar
La Cobreria
San Martin
Pecado
Chumacera
There are still more places you can visit, but you’ll have to discover those for yourselves. Miramar will be playable during the final test round before PUBG hits version 1.0. As previously stated, Miramar will eventually make its way to Xbox Game Preview, but it needs to be tested on PC more to iron out the bugs. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds comes to Xbox One on December 12 and can be pre-ordered from the Microsoft Store for $29.99. Players on Xbox will receive three limited edition cosmetic packs that can be seen here.
While it is set to receive Xbox One X enhancements like HDR support and 4K resolution, it will only run at 30FPS, at least when it initially launches. Bluehole is still working to improve the frame rate, but because it will be in Game Preview it is too early to tell what they will be able to achieve.

Media joked about Matt Lauer’s alleged behavior behind closed doors

0

«So was this whispered behind closed doors? No, it was shouted from the mountaintops, and everybody laughed about it.»
Since news of sexual misconduct allegations against Matt Lauer broke in November, many members of the media have reported being shocked, but it turns out, the opposite was true.
Many of these media elites knew all about scandalous rumors regarding Lauer — and were too busy “roasting” him to do anything about it.
On his morning show last week, NBC’s “Morning Joe” Scarborough brought up his own attendance at an event where reports about Lauer seemed to be common knowledge.
RELATED: Someone just confirmed that Matt Lauer did have a bag of sex toys in his office closet
He and fiancee and co-anchor Mika Brzezinski discussed being well aware of the whispers about Lauer’s past, and they recalled Scarborough’s decision to leave early from the uncomfortable event.
“I’ve always heard stories about him kind of fooling around or whatever,” Brzezinski admitted. “Everyone has, I even remember you coming from some event where it was the joke of the day.”
“The whole theme was: he does the show, and then he has sex with people, with employees. So was this whispered behind closed doors?” Scarborough continued. “No, it was shouted from the mountaintops, and everybody laughed about it, which tells you what culture used to be.”
The duo was referring to a 2008 roast of the disgraced news anchor at New York City’s Friar Club. Guests included Katie Couric, Tom Cruise, Al Roker, Howard Stern and Donald Trump. The event was kept tightly under wraps, with cameras and recording devices being strictly banned, reported the Daily Mail. Only The Village Voice was able to jot down reports of the event through a spy using a hidden notepad — despite there being plenty of the journalists in the room.
“There were a thousand people in the audience, like the most powerful people in media, and everybody that came up was making fun of Matt Lauer, about [him] pushing himself on people,” said Scarborough.
One of the speaker’s was current CNN President and then NBC Universal Chairman Jeff Zucker, who denied having any clue about Lauer’s alleged behavior.
According to Fox News, Zucker made a joke about Lauer being on stage “and not under [his] desk.” “I don’t want to say Matt is a germophobe, but he’s the only guy I know who uses Purell both before and after he masturbates,” he continued.
Meredith Vieira, who was a “TODAY” co-host at the time, brought out her own crude comments about Lauer and his “TODAY” co-star Al Roker engaging in anal sex, also joking about Lauer and then-coworker Ann Curry.
“He loves to eat Curry,” she said as an embarrassed Curry sat in the audience.
While the room laughed, she jokingly corrected herself, saying, “What? Indian food! What’s wrong with you people?”
Katie Couric reportedly joked about Lauer being unable to perform with his wife, along with a lewd dig about Lauer and Curry.
Comedian Gilbert Gottfried — who was also recently accused of sexual misconduct by talk show host Wendy Williams — told extremely vulgar and racist jokes, including ones about Ann Curry’s genitals, reported Fox News.
Matt Lauer himself wrapped up the event with his own shocking, sexually charged jabs aimed at Curry.
“What’s with all the small-d**k jokes? It was fun to look over and see Ann Curry laughing… like she doesn’t know how big my d**k really is,” Lauer said.
Lauer was fired from NBC on Nov. 29 after a complaint of “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.”
“There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have cause others by words and actions,” Lauer said in a statement he issued that was read on “TODAY” . “The last two days have forced me to take a hard look at my own flaws.”

Why Trump's Jerusalem move risks starting new fires in the Middle East

0

Trump’s decision has reportedly taken Arab leaders largely by surprise, raising questions about the White Houses ultimate strategy and intentions
There is a small constituency in the United States that genuinely cares about the location of the American embassy in Israel. Evangelicals and a right-wing, pro-Israel lobby thrilled at President Trump’s campaign promises to reverse decades of U. S. policy by recognizing a “united” Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and shifting the U. S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv. At a speech on Wednesday, Trump is expected to outline his plans to do just that.
A view of Jerusalem Old City seen from Mount of Olives, Wednesday, Dec. 6,2017. Oded Balilty/Assoicated Press
While that is happy news for some of his core supporters – as well as the right-wing government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – the proposed move risks starting new fires in the Middle East and attracting the fury of the international community.
Jerusalem, holy to all three Abrahamic faiths, is at the heart of the territorial conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Israel sees the city as its undivided capital, while the Palestinians consider majority-Arab East Jerusalem to be the future seat of an independent Palestine. No country keeps its embassy there, and the long-standing U. S. position has been that Jerusalem’s final status would be determined only as part of a lasting peace deal.
Now, it seems, Trump is set to reverse that order – though not decisively. The president may both officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and do what his predecessors have done for two decades: sign a waiver that comes up twice a year deferring any shift of the U. S. Embassy from Tel Aviv.
The confused maneuver would create a “situation that leaves us in a half-pregnant state,” Dan Shapiro, a U. S. ambassador to Israel under the Obama administration, told The Post. “It creates big controversy for little gain. Our broader goal of achieving two states is not advanced, and what this achieves for either side is unclear.”
In recent days, Trump spoke by phone with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, King Abdullah II of Jordan and King Salman of Saudi Arabia, briefing them on his plans regarding Jerusalem. No one seems to have taken the news very well.
Joyce Karamn tweeted “Countries/orgs that have warned #Trump against #Jerusalem move: Jordan, France, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Palestine, Morocco, Kuwait, Germany, Arab League, Iraq, Azhar”
“Mr. Trump told our president he was going to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” Nabil Shaath, an adviser to Abbas, said in an article by my colleagues David Nakamura, Loveday Morris and Anne Gearan. They report that Trump told Abbas that the United States would make future moves that he thought would please the Palestinian people, although he did not offer details. “Our president said, ‘You don’t have anything that would make up for this on Jerusalem.’ He said, ‘Definitely, we will not accept it,’ ” Shaath said.
Meanwhile, Arab governments that have been friendly to Trump issued stern warnings. “King Abdullah stressed that the adoption of this resolution will have serious implications for security and stability in the Middle East, and will undermine the efforts of the American administration to resume the peace process and fuel the feelings of Muslims and Christians,” a statement from Amman read.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, King Salman told the White House that a recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital “would constitute a flagrant provocation of Muslims, all over the world.” The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a body that represents 57 majority-Muslim nations, urged the United States “not to be swayed and aligned with the Israeli occupation and imperialism.”
Palestinian factions have announced three “days of rage,” starting Wednesday, in protest of a potential embassy move. They see a recognition of an “undivided” Jerusalem as the Israeli capital as a tacit acceptance of the continued Israeli military occupation of the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem. The U. S. Consulate in Jerusalem warned U. S. nationals and government employees of potential threats to their safety, and Palestinians burned effigies of Trump in the city of Bethlehem on Tuesday night.
“A decision such as this is both morally wrong and politically dangerous,” Yousef Munayyer, executive director of the U. S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, told us. “Not only is Donald Trump deliberately insulting the Palestinian people, but also Arabs and Muslims around the world. In doing so, he is relinquishing what little credibility the United States had left in a region that is already rife with conflict and division.”
Trump is a pyromaniac who could set the region on fire with his madness
Ayman Odeh, an Arab Israeli lawmaker and head of the third-largest bloc in Israel’s parliament, was even more blunt. “Trump is a pyromaniac who could set the region on fire with his madness,” he wrote on Twitter.
Shapiro, the former U. S. ambassador, contends that there is theoretically no harm in moving the U. S. Embassy to West Jerusalem – provided, first, that Trump makes clear that East Jerusalem has a different status and, second, that he conducts “a lot of preparatory diplomacy and consultation.” Trump would need to consult with Arab officials in particular to minimize backlash and keep Palestinian officials willing to negotiate.
But Trump’s decision has reportedly taken Arab leaders largely by surprise, raising questions about the White Houses ultimate strategy and intentions. It also calls into question the future of the administration’s effort to restart the peace process. “The United States has attempted to shepherd the so-called ‘peace process’ on the basis that it can play the role of mediator. But by clearly adopting an Israeli position as its own, it makes clear it is not even pretending anymore,” Munayyer said.
The administration could be banking on a changing environment in the Middle East, with the region fractured by the Saudi-Iranian rivalry and Israel developing closer ties with a host of Arab states, including Saudi Arabia. But that may prove to be a mistaken gambit.
“The move would go against the very priorities that the administration has set for itself in the Middle East: fighting Islamist militancy and confronting Iranian influence,” wrote Shibley Telhami of the Brookings Institution. “Jerusalem is the perfect issue for Iran and Islamist militants to use to mobilize support against the United States and those who endorse its policies.”
Over the weekend, the president’s son-in-law and Middle East peace envoy, Jared Kushner, told a Washington gathering that Trump had not made a final decision on Jerusalem. “He’s still looking at a lot of different facts. And then, when he makes his decision, he’ll be the one to want to tell you, not me,” Kushner said.
And if Trump does decide in favor of a move, Kushner’s task may be simply impossible. “If you’re about to launch a major peace plan,” said Ilan Goldenberg of the Center for a New American Security, “the last thing you want to do is take this highly sensitive question of Jerusalem and just throw it into the mix.”

Who will Will Muschamp hire as offensive coordinator?

0

South Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp will be hiring his fourth offensive coordinator. It will be interesting to see where the Gamecocks go
Will Muschamp has hired three offensive coordinators.
Charlie Weis. Brent Pease. Kurt Roper. There is a pattern there. All three were coach’s coaches, guys well known by their colleagues and well respected by their colleagues. In other words, they were safe. The other pattern is that none of them lasted long with Muschamp. Weis left after one year to take a head coaching job. Pease was fired after two seasons. And, on Wednesday, Roper was fired after his third season with Muschamp, one at Florida in 2014 and the last two with South Carolina.
Muschamp will let wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon calls plays for the Jan. 1 Outback Bowl and then will announce Roper’s full-time replacement. That person will be Muschamp’s fourth offensive coordinator as he enters his seventh season as a head coach.
The question now is: How will be approach the hire? The safe road hasn’t worked so far. The offenses of Muschamp’s six teams (four at Florida and two at South Carolina) have never finished higher than 10th in the SEC in total offense. That was under Weis in 2011. The number has been 12th or worse since then.
That doesn’t mean Muschamp won’t take the safe road again.
There will always be safe names out there – guys like Eddie Gran at Kentucky or Noel Mazzone (for now of Texas A&M). One of Muschamp’s core beliefs as a football coach is in that of complementary football – meaning the offense, defense and special teams all work together, operating within schemes that help the other have the best chance to succeed.
That’s different from, say hurry-up, no-huddle offense, which can puts lots of pressure on a defense if things aren’t going well. It can also take a lot of pressure off a defense if things are going well.
If Muschamp wants to think outside the box, there are more names out there than any of us can list. Take a look at what Penn State did in 2015 when it named Fordham head coach Joe Moorhead its offensive coordinator. The Nittany Lions offense exploded, and this year Moorhead became Mississippi State’s head coach.
If Muschamp wants to think outside the box, there are high school coaches, or former high school coaches with little college experience, he could consider.
If Muschamp wants to think outside the box, it could be a huge hit and fix the only thing that has plagued his team for six seasons. Or, it could be an unmitigated disaster.
What none of us know now is if Muschamp wants to think outside the box.

Fantasy Football: Week 14 wide receiver rankings

0

UPI Sports Editor Al Butler’s top fantasy football wide receivers for Week 14.
Dec. 5 (UPI) — The first week of the fantasy football playoffs is finally here in most leagues.
You have made all of your regular season transactions and likely have a core group of players to ride with through the post season.
But you still need to make the right lineup choices, now more than ever before. You should still be aware of great matchups and players trending up in December.
My top wide receiver rankings this week includes familiar names at the top, but some matchups down the list are too good to pass up. Start your studs, regardless of matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown is my top option for Week 14. Keenan Allen, A. J. Green, Brandin Cooks and Julio Jones round out my top five options this week at wide receiver.
Read below for brief descriptions of some of my other favorite options.
Here are my Top 50 options at the position this week.
TOP 50 WEEK 14 RANKINGS BELOW
TOP SHELF
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michale Crabtree was suspended for Week 13 for his fight with Aqib Talib, but he’s active for Week 14. Crabtree is my No. 9 option, as he suits up against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game, the second-most yards and the second-most receiving scores to opposing wide receivers. While he hasn’t eclipsed 100 receiving yards in a game yet this season, I expect Crabtree to score his seventh touchdown of the year against this generous AFC West unit.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been one of fantasy football’s best surprises this season. Thielen leads the Vikings in targets and ranks No. 6 in the league in that category. He also has at least five catches in 11 of 12 starts this season. This week he faces the Carolina Panthers, a unit allowing the sixth-most touchdown receptions and 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Thielen comes in as my No. 13 option, making him a low-end WR1 in larger leagues.
SNEAKY PLAYS
With Eli Manning reportedly coming back into the fold as the New York Giants ‘ starting quarterback, the entire offense gets a slight boost. Sterling Shepard might be the biggest beneficiary of that. I have the Giants wide reciever ranked as my No. 16 option this week against a Dallas Cowboys secondary that has allowed the most receiving scores to opposing wide receivers. The Cowboys are also allowing the third-most fantasy points per game and ninth-most receiving yards to the position. Shepard is a WR2 if Manning plays.
The wait is over and Josh Gordon is officially back on the field. The Cleveland Browns wide receiver is my No. 27 option at the position in Week 14, placing him on the WR2 radar. In his first game back in several years, Gordon piled up 85 yards on just four receptions. In Week 14, he faces a Green Bay Packers secondary allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game, fifth-most receiving scores and fifth-most receiving yards to the position. Gordon is a start here and could be the best late-season pickup.
LONGSHOTS
San Francisco 49ers wide out Marquise Goodwin is already benefitting from Jimmy Garoppolo ‘s presence at quarterback. In Week 13, Goodwin had a season-high eight receptions. He turned those catches into 99 receiving yards. Expect this duo to connect again in Week 14 against a beatable Houston Texans secondary. The Texans are tied for allowing the fifth-most touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. They have also allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game and eighth-most receiving yards to the position. Goodwin is my No. 30 wide receiver for the week, making him a WR3.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills is one of those boom-or-bust type of fantasy football plays, but he has been booming lately. The Dolphins’ pass catcher went off for 98 yards and a score on five catches in Week 13. In Week 11, Stills had 180 yards and a score on seven catches. This week, he gets the New England Patriots. The Patriots have improved, but are still allowing the fourth-most receiving yards and seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Stills comes in as my No. 32 option for Week 14, landing him on the WR3 radar.
