At the very end of 2016, all Lumia handsets had sold out in the Microsoft Store. The lack of an option to email a customer when they were back in stock implied that they wouldn’t be; however, several models appeared anyway. As it stands right now, just the Lumia 550 and white AT&T variant of the Lumia 950 are in stock at the US Microsoft Store.
But now, it seems that the Lumia 650 and 735 are gone for good, as their listings have disappeared. If you head over to the Store’s page for all Windows phones , you’ll see that neither device is on there.
Of course, there are Windows phones that exist in the Store that aren’t listed on that page, such as the unlocked Lumia 640 XL. Unfortunately, the 650 and 735 aren’t even searchable.
If the Microsoft Store is going to drop two Lumias, it certainly made some odd choices. The Lumia 650 is the newest Lumia that exists, having come out almost 11 months ago. The Lumia 640 XL is a full generation behind it — being almost two years old — and that still has listings for both the unlocked and AT&T models.
The Nokia Lumia 735 is actually older than the 640 XL by six months, having been announced at IFA in September, 2014. In May, 2015, however, the handset finally found its way to the United States with Verizon Wireless as the Microsoft Lumia 735, and in fact, you can still purchase the phone from the carrier for $120.
Over on the other side of the pond, all Lumias were sold out in the UK Microsoft Store by mid-December and they haven’t been restocked since. The only Lumias that you’ll find on its page for all Windows phones are the Lumia 640 XL LTE, 650, 950, and 950 XL.
Naturally, if you really want any of these phones, you can get them from any number of third-party retailers, likely for a lower price than you would have from the Microsoft Store.

Later this week, Nintendo will share more information about its upcoming hybrid console, the Switch. While there hasn’t been much in terms of leaks up until this point, somenewly revealed documents are shedding more light on the console.
While these accessory sheets don’t offer details about the Switch directly, it does give us clues about what could be coming in March 2017. In the first image, we see a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild skin set which could be a fairly good indication that the game might arrive alongside the console as a launch title. The second image of a game-carrying case gives us an idea of how large the game cartridges might be. In the gallery that is attached at the bottom, there are more pictures that include a fighting stick and an accessory bundle as well.

Earlier today we reported how AT&T would be increasing grandfathered unlimited plans by $5. Now it appears that Verizon is taking things a step further by disconnecting those on its unlimited plan that average 200GB of use consistently on a monthly basis.
When it comes to unlimited data plans, it’s a bit of sticky situation. When these plans were first introduced, data usage wasn’t a priority for many subscribers. But as time passed and our devices and content consumption evolved, the need for data quickly escalated. Although not everyone uses an excessive amount, it appears that there are a small percentage of users that rely heavily on their unlimited data.
For these individuals, Verizon will be disconnecting their service this week if they are not willing to migrate to one of the newer plans by February 16. Those looking to switch won’t even come close to the 200GB that was previously being used, with Verizon currently offering a 100GB plan for $450 a month. If these customers choose to stay with Verizon, they will surely be paying quite a bit going forward.

LeEco made a huge splash early last year being the first handset to offer the Snapdragon 820 processor at CES 2016. While things seemed good back then, a year later things are much different, with the company suffering from heavy financial issues. Yet, LeEco has persevered and made its way into the US via its web sales and is now being offered at popular retail chain, Target.
As you can see above, LeEco handsets are now available for purchase on the Target website. The mid-range Le S3, available in gold or gray, offers a large 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB RAM, and a 16MP camera. The higher-end Le Pro3 offers a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, and 16MP camera. The S3 can be purchased for $249.99, while the Pro3 can be had for $399.99.
The United States has been a hard market to penetrate for a majority of overseas handset manufacturers, but over the past couple of years, some have been successful, getting their wares into major retailers like Best Buy, Newegg, Amazon, and Target. Despite its struggles, LeEco has done well and is one of the few to forge its way into the US market.

Microsoft recently released build 15002 to Fast ring Insiders. This build brought a slew of new features including nifty upgrades to Edge, a Blue Light option, and Theme Management. However, a pretty neat feature, named ‘Dynamic Lock’, was overlooked.
When Windows Hello was introduced, it added a wealth of new enterprise-grade security features without the need to type in a password. The convenience of being able to use facial recognition or a fingerprint changed how you could access your PC. It appears that Microsoft has been tinkering with a feature that will now bring security when you move away from your PC. According to the folks at Windows Central, internally the feature was dubbed Windows Goodbye and can now be found in the latest build as Dynamic Lock.
The feature will work by locking your device when you step away from your Windows 10 computer. Unfortunately, there currently isn’t much detail on what specifically will trigger Dynamic Lock. If Microsoft is channeling some of its Windows Hello technology, one might speculate that facial recognition or an iris scanner might be used to properly identify when a user is present and when they leave.
The company could even take it a step further and opt for a simpler option of like having Dynamic Lock work with the Authenticator app that was released as a beta earlier last year. This approach would leverage the Bluetooth connection between the smartphone and PC to determine proximity between the devices and lock the PC should the smartphone no longer be detected in range.
Naturally, these are all just ideas at this point and Microsoft will surely shed more light on the feature when the time is right. For now we can only speculate and ponder how this feature might work.
