Every week, new and exciting shows are made available to stream on the most popular services, and we’ve curated a list of the best ones to watch this week.
The beauty of streaming is that, with an entire season of a show released at once, you can easily binge it in a single night, or at least over a few days. But that also means you’re constantly looking for new shows to watch. Thankfully, every major streaming service releases new content weekly, and we go through what’s coming to bring you the best of the best you can watch each week. Looking for something new this week? Here’s our curated list of the best new shows to watch. When you’re done here, check out the best new movies to stream this week, as well as the best shows on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Disney+. Kevin James returns to the small screen in this new comedy about a NASCAR crew chief and his racing team. The story takes place in the garage and centers around the owner retiring and handing the team over to his Millennial daughter, who has some modern ideas on how to run things. Reluctantly, the struggling team and their chief must adapt to new rules, including her heavy reliance on technology. From the creator of The Ranch, the 10 episodes of season 1 are now available to stream. Watch on Netflix Returning for its third season of just 11 episodes, cut down due to the pandemic, three suburban moms played by Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Retta (Parks and Recreation), and Mae Whitman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) are having financial troubles, and, in their desperate state, decide to team up and do the unthinkable: rob a supermarket. These not-so-good girls find trouble when they discover that, while their heist was successful, the money they took was actually being held at the store by a crime syndicate. The store’s owner, meanwhile, recognizes one of the culprits by her tattoo and tries to blackmail her. The series has already been renewed for a fourth season, which is set to follow season 3 closely, premiering in early March 2021. Watch on Netflix Gear up for this British psychological thriller about a single mother who, after getting a part-time job in a psychiatrist’s office, begins a torrid affair with her boss. However, the situation gets more complicated when she becomes close friends with his wife. Based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough, the limited series takes a twisted look at the age-old tale of the modern love triangle when not everyone is who they seem. There are just six episodes in the first season, which is available starting February 17. Watch on Netflix If you’re in the mood for a romantic comedy, this South Korean series might fit the bill. Ban Ha-ni is a young woman who strangely meets the 17-year-old version of herself and embarks on a journey with, well, herself, to heal wounds and learn to love. Based on the novel Fantastic Girl from 2011, written by Kim Hye-jung, the movie stars Choi Kang-hee as Ha-ni as well as Kim Young-kwang, known for his modeling work with designers like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, and as the first Asian model at the Dior Homme show. Watch on Netflix Looking for something to watch with your teenagers? The first two seasons of this Nickelodeon teen sitcom are now streaming. Starring Miranda Cosgrove, Jenette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor, the series centers around Carly (Cosgrove), a teen who, like many today, has her own web show with her friends. But as the show becomes increasingly popular, they find themselves trying to balance the growing pains of coming-of-age alongside crazy situations that result from their fame and recognition. Racking up an impressive five Emmy nominations through its six-season run from 2007 to 2012, it’s no surprise that a revival series is forthcoming on the new streaming service Paramount+ (aka CBS All Access). Watch on Netflix The first season of this true-crime docuseries tells the story of the famous Los Angeles hotel where mysterious events, including deaths, have occurred, with a focus on the strange disappearance of Canadian college student Elisa Lam and the involvement of passionate Internet sleuths in trying to uncover the truth. At the heart of the story is bizarre security camera footage from inside the hotel’s elevator that led to some wild conspiracy theories. From the creator of The Ted Bundy Tapes, this dark and gripping docuseries will set the stage for future seasons to come, each of which will explore a different infamous location related to the world of crime. It’s a must-watch for true crime fans. Watch on Netflix Enjoy sets from some of the most talented, lesser-known stand-up comedians out there in this series, which is returning for its second season. There’s still an audience for each performer, but due to COVID-19, everyone was tested before entering, had their temperatures taken, wore masks, and practiced social distancing. The first season featured comedians like Tracey Ashley from The Last O.G., Flame Monroe from Def Comedy Jam, and This Week at the Comedy Cellar‘s Aida Rodriguez. Season 2 includes Godfrey, known for voicing President Obama for the series Our Cartoon President, and Kimberly Clark, who appeared on Last Comic Standing and Lopez Tonight. Watch on Netflix Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke star in this series as inseparable best friends who share a special bond from their teen years through to their 40s. It’s a beautiful story of friendship as Tully and Kate support one another as they go through various milestones, hardships, and life changes, dealing with both the good and the bad as true soul mates. Dubbed a romantic drama, it’s based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah. Check out the first season streaming now. Watch on Netflix Jessica Biel starred in the first season of this thrilling anthology crime drama series, with Carrie Coon running point in the second. And in the third installment, Jessica Hecht will star as an artist who owns the property where a fatal car accident occurs. But as police, led by series mainstay Bill Bullman as Detective Harry Ambrose, investigate the event, they uncover that there’s much more going on. The series also stars Chris Messina and Matt Bomer. Watch all eight episodes of season 3; a fourth season has already been ordered as well. Watch on Netflix Check out the final season of this Food Network cooking show hosted by Alton Brown that sees four chefs compete in three rounds in each episode. Adding a twist that sets this show apart from predictable cooking competition shows, however, is that each contestant begins with $25,000 and can participate in auctions to win items to sabotage their opponents. The winner gets the big prize while the others get whatever money is left in their banks. Season 15, the final season of the series, originally aired in 2017 and is now available to stream. Watch on Hulu In 1962 and 1963, more than 200 people were accused of performing witchcraft in colonial America, leading to hearings and prosecutions and 19 people getting executed by hanging. This supernatural and historical drama explores the events that led up to these witch trials in Salem, Massachusetts. The dark series features re-enactments and expert interviews. With just four episodes in the first season, it’s a quick binge. Watch on Hulu A spin-off of the Freeform series The Fosters, check out the third season of this series. The show takes place a few years after the end of The Fosters and follows the lives of Callie and Mariana Foster, who have moved to Los Angeles and are navigating life as young, professional adults. Episodes will be released weekly, with the first available starting February 17. Watch on Hulu Ioan Gruffudd stars as Dr. Daniel Harrow in this Australian medical drama about a forensic pathologist who doesn’t play by the rules but, as a common TV trope would predict, gets away with it because of his keen sense for solving seemingly unsolvable crimes. Beneath the surface, however, Harrow is hiding secrets that could threaten both his career and family. Premiering on the Australian ABC network in 2018, the third season is now available to stream at the same time as its release down under, with new episodes released weekly.
