A man accused of trying to tackle Dave Chappelle on stage during the comedian’s show at the Hollywood Bowl pleaded not guilty to a felony charge in a separate case after he allegedly attempted to stab his roommate. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced on Thursday that it had filed an attempted murder charge against Isaiah Lee, who later appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charge. Lee is facing one count of attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed “his roommate during a fight at a transitional housing apartment on December 2.” He is due back in court in June. Earlier this month, the man was charged with a misdemeanor following an on-stage attack against the superstar comedian during his performance for the “Netflix Is A Joke” festival. The D.A.’s office shared that as a result of the enormous publicity involving the alleged attack on Chappelle, Lee was recently identified as the person who allegedly committed the assault previously reported to authorities.
