Dune: Part Two is the second film in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi novel. Following Part One, released in 2021, the next chapter picks up with Paul (Timothée Chalamet) as he reunites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Paul must choose between the love of his life and the fate of the universe.
“For the first movie, we are following Paul, who is discovering a world. It’s more meditative, more contemplative, more him in contact with the elements. And for the second one, he becomes a man, a guerrilla fighter falling in love, and wants to avenge his father, and it’s more of an action movie,” Villeneuve explained to IndieWire. “We are confronted with the guerrilla warfare and the technology of the opponent. That will transform the old story and transform it into a war zone.
