Amazon Prime Video’s popular original action drama series Hanna is back for its sophomore season. Buckle up, baby, and get ready for some heart-pumping TV!
Season 2 of the show based on the Saoirse Ronan-led 2011 action thriller film of the same name, and looks to be as exciting as ever, as skilled teenage assassin Hanna seems to be attempting to take down UTRAX from the inside. The show’s first season ended with Hanna and her father, Erik, attempting to rescue the trainees from the UTRAX facility, but only managing to convince one trainee — Girl 249, Clara — to run off with them, but for a price: Erik gets injured enough that he dies in the effort, leaving Hanna and Clara walking off in the fields of Romania. This new season, however, shows both girls at a new UTRAX facility along with all of the other girls, and looks to be a fast-paced and gripping story from start to finish. With the return of the first season’s two focal points (besides Erik), Hanna and Marissa, comes the introduction (and reintroduction) of many new characters, from UTRAX girls you’ve got glimpses of before, like Clara and Sandy, to brand new UTRAX girls and members of the CIA UTRAX recruiting operation, like John Carmichael, Terri Miller, and Leo Garner.

You may recall Sandy, Girl 242, from the last two episodes of Season 1. We didn’t know much, if anything, about her then beyond that she was in the UTRAX program, but we’re about to learn a whole lot more about her this season. Hanna is Daly’s second professional on-screen role, with the first being a one episode guest spot in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan last year. With her work in Hanna, along with her roles in two films that will be coming out next year — horror Eight for Silver and drama/thriller Boiling Point — it is clear that this is only the beginning of what will surely be an exciting career for the newcomer.
