The award show first debuted in 2005, with CMT explaining that it is “celebrated for its high-powered, world-premiere and cross-genre performances.” The “CMT Music Awards Extended Cut” will air on April 15, 2022, on CMT, featuring “all-new performances and bonus content,” the network announced.
