Academy Award winning actor Christopher Walken returned to ‘Saturday Night Live’ to correctly pronounce the name of musical guest Foo Fighters. Walken went viral for mispronouncing the band’s name when he hosted ‘SNL’ on February 22, 2003.
On yesterday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Academy Award winning actor Christopher Walken made a surprise cameo. Not only did 80-year-old Walken appear alongside Mikey Day’s President Joe Biden as the spirit of Halloween in the episode’s cold open, but he was also given the opportunity to fix a past mispronunciation.
Walken is no stranger to SNL, having hosted seven times between 1990 to 2008. But it was his February 22, 2003 hosting gig that recently came back into the spotlight when the star’s mispronunciation of musical guest Foo Fighters went viral following band member Dave Grohl‘s hilarious retelling of the incident.
