A 22-year-old gunman, before midnight Saturday, using a long rifle, killed at least five people and injured 25 others at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, 70 miles (112 kilometers) south of Denver. Some of the injured are in critical condition. The shooting came during Transgender Awareness Week and hours before Sunday’s International Transgender Day of Remembrance. The shooter was identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich.
